Surgery.
Hove Day Surgery is our premier facility to perform skin treatments under local anaesthetic or sedation with a large procedure room and three bed recovery bay. Additionally, Hove Specialist Clinic contains two treatment rooms for small procedures such as biopsies and laser therapies. The areas are filled with natural light, with space for family to keep patients company.
The heritage listed building at 389 Brighton Road underwent a major refurbishment lasting almost two years resulting in the formation of Hove Specialist Clinic. Following this, an even more complex refurbishment of the heritage listed 387 Brighton Road was performed to create Hove Day Surgery. All equipment is modern and updated. Quality can be seen throughout.
We want patients who are treated at the Hove Specialist Clinic to quickly recognise our high standards.
Sterilisation is performed on-site to meet Australian Standard 4187:2014, the current national standard that must be met by hospitals for reprocessing instruments, using the latest generation Melag and Steelco equipment at every stage. We check and validate the entire process with third parties to ensure patient safety.
Phototherapy.
Two full body narrow band UVB cabinets and a partial body UVA-narrow band UVB machine are available to treat a wide variety of skin issues.
Clinical Photography.
Not only to monitor changes in our patients’ skin, we offer the service to other clinicians who need detailed imaging performed.
Child friendly.
Our allergist, Dr Dzeladini, consults lots of very young patients who are sometimes frightened of their visit to the doctor. We’ve tried to make our consult and waiting areas more inviting with hygienic toys and art to distract the little ones.
Allergy Testing.
Food, aeroallergens and environmental allergens can be tested in children up to 18 years of age.
Patch testing for contact dermatitis can be performed in adult and paediatric patients.
Lasers and IPL.
We have multiple laser and IPL machines to treat broken blood vessels, redness, pigmentation as well as deeper resurfacing procedures for scarring and rejuvenation.
